We have discovered a new delicious Saturday pizza and it's not delivery! We do a grocery trip on the weekends, typically on Saturday, which also coincides with weekly pizza night. Whole Foods has been my grocery store of choice as of late, I have learned if I make a list I can make it through without spending a fortune, however sometimes that doesn't always work out. The last time we went we found that they have balls of ready made pizza dough in the deli section and we had a pizza stone so we said, why not make our own Saturday night pizza. We bought all the fixings and brought it home for cooking.
Started by flouring the service to stretch the dough on, actually scratch that the first step is preheat the oven to 450 degrees and place the pizza stone in there to warm with the oven. Next get to work on the dough, stretch and form it however you wish.
Then cover in some pizza sauce and your toppings, we opted for some part skim mozzarella and some green pepper slices.
It cooks on the hot pizza stone at 450 for about 10 mins and BOOM you got delicious organic pizza!
What do you think looks better than delivery, huh?
