Father's day, chocolate covered strawberries

For those that know me it's no secret that Guido is our fur baby, he's considered part of our family. So when it comes to father's day or mother's day we do celebrate because we do have an adorable fur baby that we raise together. To celebrate father's day for my husband Guido and I got him a nice flask engraved with "Wild Turkey 101" and a picture of a turkey, this is my husband's favorite bourbon. We also had pizza for dinner and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.
Chocolate covered berries are easy to make as in they take very few ingredients but you have to melt the chocolate just perfect and be aware that it cools quickly. Chocolate is very sensitive, it melts and cools at low temperatures so you have to move fast, hence no pictures of the actual melting or dipping process. I pour the chips in bowls that fit over a small pot that I fill with water and bring to a boil, once boiling I turn the heat off and sit the bowl of chocolate pieces on top and stir until melted.
Then you are ready to dip your rinsed and dried strawberries in the chocolate.

Once dipped place on a cookie sheet lined with a sheet of wax or parchment paper, pop it in the fridge for a couple hours and you have chocolate covered strawberries. We snuck in a banana too!
