Turkey Day!!!!

Our turkey day actually started on the eve of turkey day, we brine our turkey overnight in a mixture of water, salt, brown sugar, oranges, lemons, thyme, and rosemary, this helps make a juicy bird.

Breakfast on turkey day morning, they say it's important to not skip a meal on turkey day or you'll be so hungry when time to eat comes that you stuff yourself so full you can't breathe, which usually happens no matter what.
Stuffing the bird, no bread crumbs in our bird, she's full of fruits and veggies to keep her nice and juicy! A mix of oranges, carrots, celery, thyme, and onions.
Used the day off to wash cars, 2 down still one more to go. This is the tri color clear coat, isn't it pretty when it goes on.
The finished bird, ready to be carved.
And my plate, the turkey with gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and sauteed green beans. We cooked all day for a delicious dinner, it all turned out perfect. Was a fantastic first Thanksgiving as a married couple, looking forward to many more!
