BirchBox!

I got my August BirchBox this week! If you follow me on instagram you already know this..it's one of the best boxes I have received as of yet. (I'm sure I've said this before.)
Inside the nice little brown box were some fantastic samples. This month's box was sponsored by Ann Taylor so among the samples there were some coupons to spend at Ann Taylor stores and online. Here is what I received:
Miss Jessies Creme De La Creme-this is a conditioner for curly hair. Miss Jessie hair products are for curly, dry, processed hair, which is exactly what I have. The best thing about the Miss Jessie products is that they all smell incredible, they work very well also, but you could buy them just to smell yummy when you swish your hair around.
Violet Oasis 100% Organic Argan Oil-I really liked this sample the little glass vile will get re-used for something, not sure what just yet. The oil itself is made to use wherever and however you want, essentially. I first used a few drops on my hair after showering, I have fine and curly hair, this oil was a little too rich to use on my hair and made it appear a little greasy. The next use was on my legs after the shower, this was fabulous, it does not have a scent to it so it's great to use with any fragrance of your liking.
Arangara Body Lotion-This stuff is made in Italy! The label is in Italian and says "Crema fluida per il corpo" basically "creme for the body" I received the tangerine and fern scent, I know who wants to smell like a fruity fern, but the scent is very nice and clean smelling not overwhelming, again it's something you can layer with any fragrance you like.
Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Watercolor Eye Liner- At first I was super excited to see I received a new eyeliner, and even more excited when I noticed the color was a very dark navy blue. I tried the color on the back of my hand (picture below) and loved the texture it had it went on very smooth and after 1 second you couldn't make the color budge by rubbing it you had to use soap and water to remove it. Now my only problem with this eye liner is that I like to line my inner lower rim (water line) and this eye liner did not go on so smoothly to my inner rim. On my upper lash line I use it to dot between my lashes right at the base but on my lower inner rim I have to stick with my trusted and so loved Urban Decay 24/7 liner, that stuff goes on so smoothly and stays put all day even on the water line, I can't recommend that eye liner enough, best one on the market and $19 at Sephora.
Becca Radiant Skin Satin Finish Foundation-I have actually not used these samples yet, I figured they will wait for the weekend so if I don't like it I'm not rushing to wash and redo my face before running to the office. I can say that I used a sample of the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector that I received with an order from Sephora and I loved that stuff, I would order more but I try to keep my products from over crowding my bathroom. The Skin Perfector looked a bit scary at first, as in too shiny, but after applying it to my face I was quite pleased and I used on the day of my road trip to Michigan so it was the only thing on my face with just a bit of eye liner and mascara. It kept my skin glowing and hydrated while sitting in a car for 12 hours, now that's a good product!
